Residential Roofing

The roof structure of your home is what defines its shape and size. It can be made out of rafters, trusses, or beams, depending on the design you choose for yourself; however, all these variations must then support whatever weight rests atop them to keep it stable and maintain integrity! When storms come and hail strikes, this system becomes vulnerable.

Fortunately, our team at Accurate Roof Systems offers free roof inspections to help you determine the extent of the damage and file a claim with your home insurance company. We will provide you with the date of the last hail storm in your area, take pictures of any damage we find, and present them to you for review. The 10 Steps in the Hail & Wind Claim Process

  1. You contact Accurate Roof Systems because you think you have roof damage.

  2. We conduct a free roof inspection.

  3. If we find damage we then help you file a claim with your insurance provider.

  4. We get you into our customer portal where you will be informed every step of the way.

  5. They will send an adjuster to confirm damage.

  6. Once damage is confirmed the adjuster will approve the job and create an estimate.

  7. Depending on your policy, your deductible will be due.

  8. If you have an RCV policy, you typically get your actual cash value check (ACV) when the adjuster first comes out, or it is sent to you after the adjuster's estimate is compiled.

  9. We then complete our repairs or roof replacement.

  10. You then get a final bill covering the difference between ACV (Actual Cash Value) and RCV (Replacement Cost Value).

Roofing 101 For HomeOwners

What Is A claims Adujuster?

A claims adjuster, desk adjuster, field adjuster, or general adjuster investigates insurance claims by interviewing the claimant and witnesses, consulting police and hospital records, and inspecting property damage to determine the extent of the insurance company's liability.

What Is ACV and RCV?

ACV is the amount to replace or fix your home and personal items, minus depreciation. Depreciation is a decrease in value based on things like age, or wear and tear. If you have Replacement Cost Value (RCV) coverage, your policy will pay the cost to repair or replace your damaged property without deducting for depreciation.

What Are Roof Shingles

Roof shingles are roof covers consisting of individual overlapping elements. These elements are typically flat, rectangular shapes laid in courses from the bottom edge of the roof up, with each successive course overlapping the joints below. They are made with asphalt as the main ingredient, and are the most popular shingle type sold in the U.S. today. The asphalt used at these roofing facilities is processed to meet the stringent quality requirements needed to create strong, yet flexible, shingles.

What is Hail Damage?

Hail can cause dings in aluminum siding, gutters, or asphalt shingles, whereas it can crack vinyl siding or wood shakes. Alternatively, softball-sized hailstones can be dense and strong enough to puncture a roof. Additionally, a roof's age and condition could affect the damage's degree. These images show hail damage:
